EMPHASIS IN PAINTING

My work explores actions that can be taken to affect paint and ways to remove my agency over the image made. Abstraction is used as a medium to illustrate feelings using gestures and actions. Paintings are made as a pair displaying their direct relationship with one another through mirroring impressions and reflect the idea of attraction and repulsion through their proximity to one another which is inclusive of the process with which they are made.

My work aims to investigate vulnerability, sensuality, and identity as a medium with the capacity to shift vision and feeling. Meditating on the impact of interaction through painting. My Intention BFA Show was to explore the subject further

Expanding on the consideration of art objects as a reflection of human

aspirations— our desire to be seen, understood, and valued. How our interactions with one another affect our perceptions of each other and shift what is true.
